Don't know who'd need the cable besides a cable company. BUT SHIT!! Look at his other auctions- 2 MIG fighters and an Blue Angel F-18 Hornet!! Either this guy has one hell of a scam going on here, or he's really involved in some great trading rings.

They're probably just using it for publicity to attract buyers to arrange private deals. I know that some savvy buyers at companies do check things like ebay even for zany stuff like this. Not knowing much about fiber optic, it's hard to tell if it's only useful for a telecom or could also be used to wire networks etc.
