Top Gear - S13 EP7 - 2nd August, 2009 - Discussion
Jeremy Clarkson and James May are set the task of creating a memorable TV advert for Volkswagen. Despite vowing to work together to deliver a classic piece of advertising, the boys quickly fall out on set. Meanwhile, Richard Hammond looks for an alternative to boring Germanic sports saloons and ends up going mostly sideways in the new Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst. Plus, the Cool Wall returns, and American chat-show legend Jay Leno is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

This may be the last episode in this series, not sure about it so don't quote me on it

I have watched top gear for years, it was an interesting episode, the last bit though, touched me, it was the simplest most elegant top gear segment ever, it was just jeremy driving the new V12 vantage from aston martin, nothing fancy, just beautiful shots of the car and its sounds as he dedicated a solemn reminder to the viewers about how this car may be the last of its kind, the exquisite stitched leather, the commanding seating position, the effortless GT oomph and the perfection of the well balanced chassis, I want to buy a vantage now, that was an excellent end to the series, I do hope they will be back soon though

^ Yeah, that was one of the few times that I felt a little.. well.. emotional from watching a Top Gear feature. The music fitted it perfectly too by the way.

I was moved too but not for the same reason (even if I agree that the last segment was beautiful). I am afraid I understood that ether 1) it was the last of the last Top Gear 2) it was the last Top Gear episode with Jeremy Clarkson.
Am I alone?
By the way the Shtig is shumi

Then you didn't understand it, because neither is right.

Hope you're right, maybe I am over thinking/second guessing it.

top gear could never lose clarkson, it would never work without him, I certainly would stop watching it, and ummm... during the Jay leno interview, did I see Vicky Buttler Henderson in the audience? I don't have it with me at work to watch again but I could have sworn it was vicky in the back in a blue blowse covered by a white shirt and her trademark sunglasses on the top of her head
