A sad day. Lingenfelter has passed on
It hasn't been confirmed yet by the media. But I'm sure they will soon.

wow, think about how much he did for the corvette tuning industry. He put the corvette back on the map with his upgrades. His name was becoming a house hold name. You couldnt talk about vettes without mentioning him. He will definately be missed, hopefully his sons, or daughters, or wife will take over operations.

Man, thats really sad. his corvettes were truly bad ass and his mods turned the vette into one of the most fearsome competitors on the track and the strip. Im sad to see him go and wish I knew more about him. RIP

A sad day for the American racing and car scene. What the man could do with a car was nothing short of phenomenal.

If this is true, it is truly a significant loss to the performance community.

That is terrible!!!... John Lingenfleter did a lot of lasting work for the automotive industry, not only for the corvette community... He was a very talented man andcompetitve drag racer, it's a shame he didn't lasted longer...
