Yay! Finally a race that I don't have to get up at 4:30am for!

10:00am PST for qualifying tomorrow.

A few top drivers failed last race, so it'll be interesting to see what approach they'll take here. All guns blazing or a more measured, low-risk approach.

Is there anything but guns blazing in F1? Time difference for this one sucks for me. Practice kicks off at midnight, qualifying around 3am.

What is going on with Vettel? He seems pretty fast at times, but rarely delivers when it's necessary.

Kubica is in hot form and I reckon he's a good chance to take out the race.

Default Canada Qualifying

Wow! What a session. Very exciting. My little 4 yr old daughter got scared the way I was whooping and hollerin'!

I am a Lewis Hamilton fan but I wouldn't have been upset to see Kubica on pole. Anything but a Ferrari, really.

RACE PREDICTIONS:
1. Hamilton by 30s
2. Raikkonen
3. Kubica
4. Massa

Alonso out before first pit stop. Why? Dunno, just a feeling.

Good call, Agreed.
Fuel strategy tends to be overlooked when examining qualifying performance.. It will be interesting to see where everyone is really placed tonight!

Definitely agree. Although I don't think Alonso will be that much lighter. Best he can hope for is possibly P5, i.e. if Heikki/Heidfeld does not catch up with him.

I think Kimi will definitely get past Kubica during the early parts of the race. We'll then have to see how the McLaren's (Hamilton) tyres hold out. The Ferrari does seem to look better on the longer stints and look after its tyres better.

I think it will be an interesting race!!!

maybe one of those evil badgers will have their way again lol

trulli wants to complete a lap without spinning...just 2 hrs to go, im behind lewis, he just looks untouchable, especially after he snatched the pole from robert in his last flying lap...took ALOT of curb near the wall of champions i think....i favour kubica over kimi, would be nice to see him and lewis battle it out like in gp2 days should be an exciting race...but lets not over hype it or we might get disappointed

Ferraris do tend to look after the tyres better, but Hamilton has good pace and the McLaren has improved regarding tyre wear. I reckon the three main contenders will be Hamilton, Raikonnen and Kubica, in that order.
