Awesome, man. You might want to repost in the "Scale Models" sections though.

It's going to be based on the Pocher kit.
I say based on, because the 1/8 Pocher F40 is avery "reasonable" $800 or so. It is the super-super-super detail extras that have bumped the price of this model into the stratosphere - and will help elevate it from mere model to museum piece.
In a previous life I used to own a Hobby Store, and had a number of customers who built the Pocher 1/8 cars (F40, Testarossa and other 1920's Alfas and Ferraris)
On their own the Pocher kits are like giant metal Monogram kits - a great starting point for a decent model - but you need to purchase a myriad of detail add-ons to take the Pocher lits into Tamiya territory.
It looks awesome.
Your gallery makes for great viewing.
BTW - supercarfreak, I see you have lots of BBR's as welll..

That is completely off the dial....I have a half built porsche 356 model I have been trying to finish, but after seeing that I am a little despondant...mine will look like a six year old built it. Absolutely fantastic.

thanks so much guys.
the mclaren is 1/12 scale.
yes, the base F40 kit is from Pocher, the aftermarket transkit is from autograph, a german superdetailing company.
I FINALLY have time to work on her again at last.
Also might purchase a 400-piece ALL METAL 1:8 scale F40 engine to display alongside the car when it's finished.
