Top Gear : S8 EP1 : 7th May, 2006 - Discussion
In the first of a new-look series of Top Gear Jeremy Clarkson drives an insanely powerful Swedish supercar, Richard Hammond races a jet powered canoe and the boys create the world's first convertible people carrier by sawing the top off a Renault Espace!

"new-look series".....???
And it has to be the CCR. I've been waiting for the review of that car forever. And I bet he hates it.

umm... CCX actually
why would they test a car that is about 2 years old?
.... plus there was a rumor I heard that a CCX was shipped to the Top Gear office a week or two back ( not too sure on the validity of the rumor but I'm betting that it will be the CCX)

Are they just going to air the same Ranault Escape conversion as was shown in Heaven and Hell? That would be a bit cheap if they did.

CCX is basically a CCR for the American market. It's the C8S that "old".

There are some differences. I'm still not sure how they got the "twin supercharger" setup to work right, but whatever.
Here's a link that tells all about the new CCX and the changes from the CCR:

The Koenigsegg engineers also incorporated the most powerful internal piston coolers in the industry - bringing down the piston temperature by as much as 80% more than competing systems, which was a must in order to run high cylinder pressure with 91 octane fuel.

Good old crappy fuel in NA.....
