I saw the same configurated car (orange car) last week and it really looks like a mini-supercar in traffic much better than the Opel VX220.

can he ban them now already?

Unless it is something REALLY special then what is the point of starting a topic with one pic of a car? If you want to "tease" people then put it in your sig but wait until all pics and words are ready before you start a topic.

Just my opinion on the matter.

Nice car BTW.

The thread wasn't about teasing - it is about a Lotus Exige.

I posted a picture of a Lotus Exige.

No more, no less.

What followed was a discussion, and the thread starter has little control over what people discuss.

Perhaps we should just ban anyone who starts a topic - or better yet - anyone who replies to one

I didn't say ban the poster (wouldn't wish that on you my dear ), just to "ban" (or remove) the post/topic itself.

How about this for a rule - to start a topic in the WYST section you must have a minimum of 5 photos to post......or something along those lines.

Why on earth would such silly rule be put in place?

The point of What You Saw Today was just that - a picture or pictures of What You Saw Today.

Requiring a minimum number of pictures rule would be quite stupid.

What would be used to differentiate WYST from In Depth from Road Test from Car Chat?

Not everyone ahs a fancy camera or access to cars for multiple pictures or a way to take many pictures.

It seems that quite a number of these "new rules" are just a way to limit the people who contribute - sort of cretaing an "elite group of content providers" if you will.

That was never and should never be the intent of JW.

So here we will have an arbitrary rule that will prevent someone from posting thier single cell-pjone picture of their first Enzo sighting etc.

I personally do not care, as I have all the access to what ever I want when ever I need it, but what about other occasional sighters?

I am here for the "little guy" who is just trying offer a contribution.

I don't see a point in putting minimum requirements for topics, although this was obviously a teaser topic. If it's not interesting enough, it will flow down the list of topics soon.

Not really... just getting rather elitist in your views.

You guys seem to forget it was not so long ago that YOU were excited about seeing a single exotic or snapping a single picture - but now that you have had ride-alongs and test-drives and photo-shoots etc you are upping the requirements and changing the rules.

That simply prevents others from rising to all y'alls lofty heights.

Remember the little guy as you sit up there in your ivory towers.
