F50 vs. F40
V12 vs. V8?
Hot vs. Not?
F50 all the way
Does anyone else have an opinion?

I know the F40 is not a "true" Ferrari, not beeing NA.. but still, it's so drop head gorgeous IMO.. visually much better than the F50 for me... as for performances, ok, the F50 is better, as the Enzo is better than the F50
But I think I'd be strong enough to go with the F40

wow another tough question
this one is a real difficult one,coz both sounds are awesome the ferrari engine is gorgeous and the sound of turbos is also amazing.i prefer the looks of the F40 over the F50 but only very slightly.so for me the F40 just pips past the post

Hmm... Let me compound the question.
On the Basis of Looks, which is best.
The F50's rear wing and bubbles behind the occupants make it look better than any other car on the road. IMO
Then, overall, which?
Since the styling of the F50 seems to be the big thing that puts people off between the two, F50.

Ugh..the F50, no thank you. I much prefer the F40. It was the first supercar I was ever aware of and still one of my favorites.

Well that's a difficult one.
If I have to choose between the two in a fixed roof version it would be the F40.
On the other hand I quite like the headless F50 version aswell. So it will be the F50 as shown above.

The F50 sounds a bit better (especially with a special exhaust like an MS racing) but the F40 looks better and apparently it gives a stronger feeling when driving both for accelerations and feedback. So I think I would go for it ...

Well, all supercars apart from having great specs and performance also have to have the looks...and the F50 looses at this point. The F40 on the otherhand has a really oldschool streamline body. I'm in love with it ever since I saw it in a Ferrari saloon.

F50, its V12 is derivated from a F1 engine, the car is beautiful, the sound too, it's very fast and also easier to drive then the sound is impressive.
The F40 is so brutal, with those 2 turbos kicking in and making the rear end going sideway, it's a real challenge to drive.
I'd go for the F50

Wasnt the F40 the first ever production car to top 200 Mph, topping out at 201Mph? (1989) Just before the Jaguar XJ220 and the McLaren F1. The F50 'only' topped at about 203 Mph, if i'm not mistaken.
BUt I'd take the F40. Why? It's the original supercar. And it's not the easiest car in the world to drive. If you can master it, and have the time and patience to, then it proves you;re something. Clarkson called the F50 a sham. I wouldnt call it that, but it could;ve been better.
