Who cares if it's a long post, it was entertaining. I've only seen a few M5's, but i have never seen one being driven hard. Seems the people that have them here are more interested in the fact that they drive an expensive BMW rather than a very fast BMW.
BTW, the 325's are sweet. I want one, an E30 to be exact, they are so sweet. Inline sixes sound so badass.

that reminds me, i saw an A6(i think a 3L multitronic) trying to dice an m5 today. the m5's engine is alot louder and sounds like it's using alot of revs. the audi had a much deeper sound. i did not see the end of the dice, but i'm sure we all know the outcome. the m5 has a brilliant engine, my favourite, but i don't think the m5 will beat a rs6!

theres a blue m5 that autocrosses at the same place i go on the first sunday of the month. The car is huge compared to most of the cars that autocross and it puts up times 2 seconds faster than most of the pack on stock tires...not too shabby. When the guy turns off the stability management the tail of that car likes to kick outside...looks really cool

The new M5 headlights are the worst if seen yet! I still love the car though.

are m5's auto's or stick's - or both?
They are very cool - I hate the 5 series old and new but have always loved the m5.
Theres just something about big 4D sedans that fly that gets my blood pumping!
Like the Bentley Arnage T.

that video was of an m5, not an m3, and also, the m5 comes with a 5spd auto or an optional 6spd stick, and yea, this is almost the only 4dr family car i would want a 6speed stick in

U cant get an auto box in the M5, bmw dont make an auto that will take that amount of torque reliably, thats why in the alpina B10 they use a revised version of the 4 litre V8 instead of the M5 engine.

Yeah, the M5 is stick only--and all the better for it! What really surprised mye about the car is its low slung appearance--more so than an M3.

yup, the M5 just blends in with the rest of the cars around it. It never stands out... until the drivers hits the pedal.
