A few years ago my dad had decided he wanted a classic car, hed always liked them, and we regularly visited classic car dealers a weakends. One of the specialist dealerships near us that we regularly checked, had a gorgeous 1967 aguar Mk.II 2.4 in 'Golden Sand' with red leather interior. It was absolutely gorgeous, and we eventually bought it. It came with ugly hub caps, but as part fo the deal the garage sourced us some original Mk.II wire wheels.
It only used to get taken out on the weekends, but when it did, it was sooo damn cool it took the piss. You could go into town in it, come back and guarantee that you wouldnt be able to get back in it due to the amount of people crowded round looking in the windows at it!
The oly thing that was wrong with it was the fuel pump, which was slightly 'dickie' but my dad refused to buy a new one, and instead took to hitting it with a hammer whever it cut out, which became increasingly regular.
about 3-4 years after we bought it, we decided that as much fun as it was, it wasnt being used enough, so put it up for sale. Strangely, the chap who bought it was a businessman frm Germany who had seen it in an english classic car magazine we had advertised in it. We sent him some photos, and he agreeded to buy it. Without ever actually looking at the car in person, he had some friends drive all the way from Germany with a trailer, and take it back for him! Madness i know.
I miss the car very much, as it was just so damn cool, but its been gone years now so i might as well shut up.
anyway, here are the few pics of it we still have:
