I'll paraphrase it.
Basically it's about the wedding of Heath Suburban, a country and western singer, and Carole Kidman, an actress, in Outhouse Bay. The wedding is planned by Katherine Lopez, or KayLo, who runs a wedding planning agency called KayLo's Nuptials. She thinks her university degrees and three marriages puts her in good stead to plan weddings. KayLo cuts costs by building a wooden stage, instead of a steel one, and instead of building a picket fence to keep out prying eyes, she simply surrounds the area with fabric. The stage is for a Heath Suburban look-alike to perform on.
Some of the guests are Russell Frow, an actor, and Jennifer Dawkins, a model and TV presenter. During the performance, Russell leaps up onto the stage and starts dancing and singing, despite KayLo's warnings that the stage is not strong enough. Russell gets Jennifer up on the stage as well, to dance, despite her talents lying elsewhere. At this point, paparazzi and fans break through the fabric barrier and swarm the stage, collapsing it.
Russell suffers various injuries and loses his role on a film called Mad Rex II. This film became a success, but mainly due to his replacement, Lou Hackman's, performance. He cannot play in his band Five Hot Feet of Grunt anymore, and becomes depressed because he no longer receives the public adoration he has become accustimed to.
Jennifer suffers severe cuts and bruising and now has a large scar across her face, which has meant she now has no modelling contracts. She seeks a healer she met on the travel show Jetaway, which she used to host. She is so traumatised she has had to cancel an engagement at a school formal.

There are lots of pop culture references. Like I said, it's not so much funny, but amusing.
