Default Volvo shows new concept car in January - Volvo XC60!

Here are the first pictures of the (concept) XC60!

Some more information:
The car will be revealed in Detroit, next January. The production version is supposed to be ready in 2009, and there will be a lot of competition for this car to deal with: the Mercedes-Benz GLK and the Audi Q5. The Volvo has the same platform as the new Land Rover Freelander. The buttons on the dashboard will appear only when you need them, and the car has a new safety system called City Safety System. It prevents you from having accidents at low speeds..

Damn, I think I just wet myself looking at the dasboard panel..

Not another SUV.... but the interior is very nice. Volvo must be hiring some ex-IKEA designers for their new cars' interior

Lol

Well, they kind of have to.. Since Audi announced its Q5 and Mercedes the GLK, they had to come up with their own version of those cars I guess.. Don't know how they're gonna call this kind of car, it's smaller than the average SUV. I guess it's like the Dodge Caliber?

Looks pretty good. Even though the whiz-bang dash and centre console will never be implemented.

Well, the front doesn't look bad, but the rear is fugly !!

And it looks more like an MPV than an SUV.

This is a real Simply Useless Vehicle

I agree with you all, but I think the front of the car is pretty nice Looks all fast and stuff, only too bad that all that beautiful stuff ends at the back :') Guess they were thinking something like 'well we've designed the nose, lets give it a freakish XC90 back!'.. And too bad the dashboard won't make it to the production stage idd..

Killer dash. If it makes production, it's definitely worth looking into.

The freakish rear isn't too bad... we've all seen worse.
