Default How much have you ever been fined ? (road related)

I was browsing through the online news articles and discovered that a man from Finland was fined a huge 170,000 euro's for driving 80 km in a 40 km zone. There is no justice!

Rich guy. Poor guy. lol.

Speed kills.

No, stopping does. It's those sudden ones that'll get you.

My worst speeding ticket was 52km/h over in a 60km/h zone. I took it to court, I was there this morning, I was lucky to be able to bring it down to a 29km/h over ticket and save my self couple of hundred dollars in fines plus couple of thousand dollars in insurance premiums.

I've gotten wayyy to many speeding tickets... already got my license suspended once.. and I wouldnt be suprised if there was a warrant out for my arrest in NY state for a couple unpaid tickets..

with all together around 8-10 tickets I have probably spent atleast $500 USD on tickets...

what really sucks is that I don't even drive a fast car.. each ticket has been in either a toyota RAV4, 97 paseo convertible, or a 96 camry (4-door 5spd manual)..

FUCK THE POLICE!

not one fine for me.
none.
but i have had a nice officer follow me (unbenounced to my attention) on a backroad at about twice the limit, at which point he pulled me over and told me to slow down and save my money for christmas, since it was christmas eve.
needless to say, i was quite happy

i love my radar detector..

My dad has about 5 tickets to pay, but nobody really "collects them' here in Poland.

And there is a lot a bribary today. Many policeman stop cars and hand in tickets just for nothin', they are counting on some money from ya.

luckily i never got caught doing 100mph in a 65 zone at night, so the worst i've gotten for a ticket (and my only ticket at that) is for running a red light by about 1 second.
nice $86 fine for that one.
i probly did have plenty of time to stop for the light, but since i was in my old heavy Cadillac, i didn't wanna torture the brakes with a hard stop.

The most I've ever had to pay was $285 for doing 68mph in a 40mph zone..living in Plano, Texas has some definite consequences
