the cc8s goes 390km/h but the CCR is meant to go 395 or more but untill now they haven't gone faster thean 360km/h in the cc8s du to bad weather.

You don't want to be in his way at that speed..
Yeah that car is fast.. will beat the hell out of a Mclaren. But still I love the Mclaren more than the Koenigsegg. The Mclaren looks never get's old.

I want to see some objective proof before I believe in all the claims Koenigsegg is making...

I don't doubt that it's possible for a Koenigsegg to go that fast, but as yet, they have not done it. Every report I've seen in which the CC or CC8S were tested, the best 0-60 time they could extract was above 4 seconds and they could not reach anything more than about 210mph. Until Koenigsegg can have its claims independently certified (I'd like to see them run at VW's Ehra Liessen (sp) test track - it's where the Mclaren F1 hit 241mph), I'll remain skeptical.

The max they get was 367 km/h on Nardo track, they abort the tests due to bad weather (as they said). Now when you look at the time recorded by several magazines compared to officials you can have a doubt ... But it remains a wonderful car and the new JC favorite supercar So imagine with 806 bhp ...

i think its possible with so much hp, but i think the tires wont hold so much speed, when tiff drove the f1 around the oval trak like at 200mph the tires almost exploded

i think it could do it with the right gearing and all that crap..
i think IMO top spead only holds true value with braging rights, because the gearing has to be rely rely wide, that can limit it's real work usefullness.
who knows im sure sooner or later konisigg will get sick of ppl craping on about it's top spead on forums and prove to us all what it is. hahah

Yes, but that was 1992. This is 12 years later, and im sure they have some sort of tire compound that can withstand 220mph at least... remember he barely hit 200mph in that video wit the mak F1.

The evo review of the CC8S states, "...Bicocchi is rumoured to have run at 233mph at Nardo, in the rain, with plenty more to come..."
That works out to 375km/h, so 390 doesn't seem too unbelievable.

The record-setting run that Tiff made was not in 1992, it was in the late nineties for sure, and as far as tire compounds lasting at 220mph, it's not impossible, but it depends on how heavy, how much downforce, how much steering lock and a variety of other variables...so my guess is that any set of tires subjected to those sorts of speeds on roadcar (no matter how track-oriented) will give up the ghost.
