They have fuckin made it again. The norwegian politician have newly discoverd a new way to charge us. Now they want a new tax on how far you drive each year. Can you fuckin belive it?. We already have road-tax, car-tax. tire-tax, Exhaust-tax, gasoline-tax, insuranse-tax, new-car-tax, toll-tax, customs-tax, "lisenceplate-tax",car-environvental-tax, wintertyres-tax, etc etc.

It's not only that they are many, they are ridiculous high!. If you buy a new car, the transferring of registration to your name, reclassification, can cost as much as a £1000, just to move the papers to your name!!!. In Sweeden I think they charge £25. I am loosing my mind here..... When is this going to stop. It's already enough that we pay 1,3 euros for 1 litre gas, and a shitload in fees. Of the 1,3 euros the gas costs, 1 euro goes right to the sttate.

The state makes a huge pile of money on us, and as much oil as we pump up every year, the national budget is almost balanced only on the intrests of the oilproduction. Why do we need so much money in reserve? It's preposterous.

Then go und buy your car from Sweden and leave it into Swedish car registry. Simple as that. My sister lives in Sweden and her cars are registered in Estonia, because it is even cheaper here.

Hm,, yes i didn't think this throuh.. The fact is my sis is still estonian citizen who lives in sweden.. maybe thats the reason but she could register her cars in sweden but she decided not to..

The taxes isn't just an income for the government, it's invironmental politics. If you look at it that way it seems reasonable that the taxes should depend on how far you are driving. Don't get me wrong, I also think the norwegian car taxes are too high, but a distance tax isn't the worst idea they've come up with. They should just cut some other taxes.

A norweian citizen can't own a car registered in Sweden if you're using it here. If you are a foreign citizen temporarily in Norway for work or something, it's OK.

is it that small countries have more taxes per-capita? i know there are taxes everywhere in the US... but some of them are broad... like sales tax goes to everything that is sold basically. im a firm believer in limited government, but i like the idea of having regulations.

yeah... here the total tax on cars is 130% (!) that means a 10,000 EU car costs here 23,000 EU... sucks hu.. and gas here costs around 1 EU.. taxes sucks!

Last year politicians brought a new rule for tax's in here..
For the above 4000cc engines yearly tax is around 5000 euro...
Of course there are some extra taxes..
But for the below 2000cc new cars.. While u r buyin a new one if you bring an old car around 20 years old (to remove all old cars..) you pay 3000-4000 euro less than the normal value..

They even got a new Wankel-tax in Norway. The new Mazda RX8 would be great to import, because it's only a 1300cc, and the normal tax would be 2000euros. But the politicians don't like safe, new and environmentaly nice cars. So, there is a special wankel tax. For a 1300cc wankel the tax is now: 12000euros.
