Default Mystery S class

Today I was walking along a street and I saw what I thought was a Mercedes S600 (because of the two fat exhaust pipes) but apperntly it wasnt: It had an S500 Badge( maybe S600 because I wasn't wearing my glasses) and on the other side (where the AMG badge would be) was a badge that read 4MATIC. It had two fat exhaust pipes and a really nice front spoiler. Does anyone know what it could be?

4Matic is the Mercedes-Benz optional all-wheel drive system and it is available on all Mercedes sedans and wagons

what you saw was almost definitely an S500 4Matic. It's entirely possible, and I think the MB dealers will put those exhausts on your S-class cause I've seen a good number of S500s and S430s with those exhausts. To my knowledge, however, MB does not offer 4Matic with the S600, so you probably didn't see an S600. Another way to check whether it's a 600, 500/430, or 55 AMG, is just behind the front wheels, on the sides: the 600 will have a V12 badge, the 500/430 won't have anything (or Sport, if it has the full sports package), and the 55 AMG (the new ones, at least) have V8 Kompressor.

some f00d for thought

Thankyou all for the feedback. On second thoughts it probably was an S500 because it didn't have the V12 badge or the V12 wheels although the front had a really nice spoiler unlike the normal car or the 55 AMG. So there was something really fishy about it.
