Default How do you feel about the cayenne?

i first thought it was as ugly as could be, and porsche building an suv...oh man, tragic!!! But too all the skeptics out there...if you can get a ride in the turbo and you will change your mind right away...
Anybody feel the same way?

I love it.. because it brings lot of money to Porsche and ence new supercars, and also because in its Turbo version is simply stunnig for a SUV. And hell, as st-anger would tell you (and he knows his stuff), it's a true Posche!

I think it sucks. I sat in it at the TO Auto Show, an it was really roomy and comfortable....not really my definition of a Porsche....

Ahhh! I can't STAND the Cayenne. The Infiniti FX45 is faster to 60 than a Cayenne S, and quicker too. It also happens to be about $40k cheaper. For Chrissake, a Subaru Forrester XT is just as quick to 60 as both. I think the Turbo is too expensive. Im not a huge fan of these Sports Utility Vehicles.

I think st-anger posted a review of it and he says he was impressed by it (or was it in a magazine ). I like it because it's a Porsche despite his size and weight, it has all the Porsche qualities

You're right, he drove it also on track, and anyway all the mags are in love with the Cayenne TT performance

I love it! The performance of the Turbo is great.... and for an SUV it's amazing! The front body work on the Turbo definately makes it a much better looking car all around as compared to the cayenne S

its not true to the porsche values, but as a SUV it gets pretty close. Loads of people at my college have them (their parents), so i see them all the time. They are starting to grow on me now - (I never thought i wud be saying that).

Its performance is unrivalled by anything else in its sector, and so i think that it deserves some credit.

In the end though, it is all down to personal feelings (ME - I like it )

I can only think of one word "YUCK!"

Sorry, but I hate how it looks. With those looks, I dont really care how it performs. I cant be impressed by its performance if I am not appealed a little at least by its looks. If you think its great because of its performance, then you too should like a riced up 1000hp civic. I think that it is the combination of power and looks that makes a great car. One it may have, but the other, it LACKS way too much.

I plan to never buy an suv, but if I did, it would definately be the Cayenne Turbo. I also heard that Porsche is going to offer a base Cayenne with the VW Toureg's V6 engine. This model might hurt the company's reputation but I don't think the Cayenne S and Turbo do.

in public i'll probably flat out deny the fact that it's even a porsche..but secretly...i want one....dammit. Ever since i got a ride in one (a really short one at that...), i can't help but wonder how it would be to have one in the garage....it's a really powerful car. The thrust it gives you as it accelerates to the ton is not unlike a ferrari, and no i'm not exagerrating, you would not believe the way it moves! You just spend the whole time wondering if you got into the right porsche!

The Turbo is cool...I like the idea of 400+ hp in an SUV ....I just wish my new van had 400+ hp.

Have you seen the Top Gear episode about the cayenne? I completely agree with him! Is a completely success for the engineers but who cares? they're wanted the front to look like a 911 (witch it doesn't) and as he says: it has the sex appeal like a Camel haha Porsche shouldn't have done that "mess"
