Default Are radar detectors legal in your country?

A simple yes or no will do.

In Belgium: No.

AFAIK, radar detectors aren't allowed, but there are other "services" like a pager with a phone number, where ppl call when they spot a radar and owners of the pager are informed in real time about new sightings and so on..
And local radio stations do the same. ppl can phone them and between two songs they let you know where to pay attention...

Because it's not illegal to sell them, only to use them. Pretty stupid, but that is how it is.
Like I already said, they are legal here, but scanners and laser jammers are not.

O yes, they are.

Originally the plan was to ban them starting october 1st, but it has been postponed. And if use and sale are prohibited, it might not be for a long time. The prohibition is believed to be in conflict with the constitution. A wellknown and very good lawyer is already waiting for a testcase to try if the government decides to go ahead with it.

well they aren't legal in BC, not sure about the rest of Canada though. Although I'm pretty sure they aren't legal.
