The XC looks good, but the S40 is a bit over it IMO

I'm happy to see that there is more and more Tuners which are interested in the S40 model. This car with an turbocharged engine and Hi-tech AWD system has a lot of potential.

Thanks Skaala and thanks TT for those Volvo pics.

Nice pics guys, not a huge fan of Volvo in general, but they do make some reasonably handsome cars hehe.

That S40 looks great, would love to see some video of that in action.

Brutal horsepower ....but lacking a brutal drive system....Volvo's front biased AWD system is the reason for the slow sales of S60R. I am sure soccer mom would rather drive a souped up X5 then Volvo =P~

The Haldex system isn't that bad. Ok for pure fun, you won’t get your turn on’s here, since the Haldex system in combination with a front mounted engine can't give you nice controllable oversteer, certainly since it's tuned on Volvo's R-models so the car will understeer when accelerating out of a corner.
But that doesn't mean those Haldex drive systems are rubbish. Their management is quite advanced, definitely on the Volvo R-models, were it counts in a shitload of parameters. But they just don't react as natural as a true 4WD system with central differential.
