Default For those of us who change our clocks.

This is an informational post for everyone who is affected by the upcoming time change Sat night/Sun morning. If you live in a location that does not observe daylight savings time then you dont need to worry.

For all of us who do observe daylight savings time you will need to go into your profile and edit your timezone back 1 hour to reflect your new local time. This website does not take into account daylight savings time when it calculates the date/time stamp on messages.

To edit your profile click on the "Profile" link in top menu. This will take you to your profile. Scroll down toward the bottom of the page and you will see a time zone setting area.

I will show you an example. If you live on the east cost you probably have your timezone set for -4 GMT right now to show the correct timestamp on your post. Once the time changes you will need to make this -5 GMT.

Sorry for any confusion but this is something we only need to do twice a year if we want our time/date stamps to be correct on messages.

yep its a shame that phpbb still havnt come up with a solution for this, as its probably the best free forum software available.. I use it on a few sites and this is my only real gripe with it

Maybe its different in Australia?

I just know over here in the Fall we "fall back" an hour and in the spring we "spring forward" and hour.

I belive there is a daylight savings mod but I have not installed it to know if it works automaticly or not.
