Ok, iv looked everywere!

could anyone help me find how much hp and torque a 1996 Audi A4 has?(stock).

also i found out on a website that it only takes premium(best fuel); is that true? or can i use unleaded if im poor? lol

kinda hard to tell u when you dont tell us if u want the 1.8T or the 2.8..........and i'm pretty damn sure u can just use regular gas.....

The 2.8 has 193hp as far as I know, not sure about the 1.8T

Not until about 1998, at least in the USA.

IIRC, the 1.8T was 150hp and the 2.8 170hp. The 2.8 got the 190hp motor a couple of years later, maybe 1998-9.

The 1.8T is cheaper to buy, you're more likely to find a manual transmission, and is more tunable than the V6.

And if a car requires premium you must use premium. Using a lower octane could cause serious problems with your engine.

my friend just got himself a 99' 1.8T

...2 weeks ago

he got a it lightly dmged in the back at a private auction.

he got it for $6,500. its got a stage 3 turbo, sparco seats, mod. chip, BBS wheels, costum suspention, and other mods. lol for 6 grand>< dun think it was a quattro. but i will get a quattro if it helps my handling.

Yeah man I can add some help aswell yablokov I've helped tune a few of them and rebuilt 2 1.8T's and I've rebuilt both the Manual and Auto Transmissions for the A4. Shit I've done brake jobs on them I've done Suspension stuff on them etc...

Did a quick search and found a 1997 A4 1.8T has 150hp/155lb-ft.
Good news is, you can easily bump output up a good ~30hp and even more torque from just an aftermarket ecu chip.

Check out tuners such as apr, giac, or wetterauer. All make similar chips for your needs.
