My tyres were LONG overdue!

OMG; I parked up today with my wheels at fully lock and I was horrified to see:



I always thought I kept an eye on tyre wear, but this was so far on the inner edge that I did not spot it with the wheels straight! A lesson learnt there I think!!!

Anyway; a cautoius trip to kwik-fit for some very nice Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3s. The difference in grip levels is astounding! I obviously had all the tracking etc looked at. That wheel was a LONG way out. All is back in order now. I also have a free check up in a month to make sure the tyres are wearing evenly!

man you had some major Camber problems there hopefully it will be better now with an alignment. I'm assuming that when you said that the wheel was WAY out that you were talking about the Camber or did you mean something else?

hehe i know the feeling, my last front tyres were gone in about 2500 miles I forget to check properly like you said but i should do now!. Have to say those new ones look about as sexy as tyres can how long d'ya reckon they will last with that new motor installed?

You are correct T-Bird I had 5 degrees too much camber! It is all sorted now though!

Scary shit that he was driving around like that.

I've seen waay worse tires than that like runflats with the belts showing and the sidewalls turning to dust and had huge bubbles all along the sidewalls because some dipshit didn't have tire pressure sensors and drove with no air in any of the tires for a loong time.

I was afraid to get in the car with the guy. lol.. I didnt volunteer to do the tires. I took one look at them and said Ill follow you in my car and expect me to be a good distance back. It was definitly sparking down the road..
