That is not the Ford GT.. That's the Ford GT40.. the old one but this is a replica because the steering wheel is on the LH.. The original as far as I can remember came only RHD..

Thanks for the video .. That thing sounds like a monster..

Yep I am sure of it because the car looks a lot smaller and the engine does not look like the new one.. and a lot of other hits suggest that it's not the new ford gt.. It's a replica Ford GT40..

but i dont think that thing weighs much so it should go like a rocket!
looks amazing! better then the GT i think! more muscular!
has to be said that this is a replika of the racecar not the roadcar, the roadcar didnt look so god, much less muscular.

Sure it's light - but a badly built, poorly tuned Chevy 350ci V8 will be about 350 to 400hp - out of the box...

Oh - my bad... it os a Ford .. no wonder it's so anemic.. hehehe

And if a light car with 290hp is nice, the same car with 350hp will be fun - and with 450hp will be great

yea 290 hp is pretty weak especially for a car like a replica gt40. but its not quite as weak as a new GT mustang. because the 290 translates to about 340 flywheel hp right?

even so i would expect at least 400 out of a car like that shoulda put in an LS1 i guess, as everyone knows, LS1's never lose

it doesn't use the famous 427 cammer with 600+ hp stock used in GT-40 MK IIs now that was one badass engine. top speed 220mph+

and the 427 had 10x the grunt of the one in that vid.

well everything about that car was GT-40 NOT GT like the interior and the headlights and the engine not being Supercharged for one thing and saying Cobra on the Valve Covers, the wheels were different, size was different, no back bumper, windows were different aswell and I think that thing was using a 427 by the looks of the heads but if you notice all the shit coming out the exhaust I think the engine may be burning major oil it didn't look like the engine was in that good of shape to start with. OH and BTW the ford GT-40 said Ford GT down on the side on the MKIII versions. and the MKIII had the first central gearchange on the car that allowed for both LHD and RHD so it was possible to have it which ever way you chose. Yes that car was not using the 427 Cammer (you can tell by the size of the heads) used in the GT-40 but it looked to be using one from a different car it might have even been a 402.
