They are only RHD available and I think that you have to import them by yourself or with the help of a dedicated society like some have done for the McLaren F1 wich was not legal without modifications. I red somewhere in Autoweek that they have change the law for the small number of cars but it is not so easy.

I think it goes something like this. As they are right now, TVRs are not street legal in the US because of safety reg's and emissions. Peter Wheeler absolutely refuses to compromise his cars in order to bring them to the American market officially. Things look pretty bleak.

They aren't LHD, Britain is RHD. One of the reasons for their lightweight is they compromised safety. Therefore most countries won't get them. Australia can get them as a private import, meaning you have to own the car for 12 months in Britain. Which makes the whole thing suck because i would love to see more of them.

So you can't get a classic car classification for them or something? The reason why I asked was I saw a TVR is Mischief 3000 which was filmed somewhere in the states.

Most of the people who come to US for the Gumball rally are from Europe thats why you saw it in the mischeif video.

Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks for the information SFD. They can get drivers licenses in this country? Being young I have never really travelled and I don't know how this works.

When you come to a different country you can drive with your native license for a month or so. WHen I came to Canada my dad could drive around legaly with his Ukrainian license.

Too me, most of the TVR's look pretty much the same (although I do not know them that well). However, since any one of them could be classified as the best looking cars ever - sorry Jeremy Clarkson and his Vantage, wth? - thats a good thing.

Some TVR's were also available in LHD.
Today you can buy a TVR Tuscan LHD in Europe. And it's not a conversion from RHD to LHD. They are factory made LHD, but I heard they cost more than their RHD twins.
