nice read indeed, thanks
nevertheless, #1 - M5
the E63 has a nice huge engine, so what? Since when is that the most needed ingredient?!

What REALLY kills the M5 in my opinion its the lack of torque.I could easly live with the SMG and the complexity of this car, because of the looks.Damn it just looks awesome in flesh, I saw a black, lowered M5 at night some days ago, and i was like speechless, the led lights, and angels eye, the shape..everything was just perfect!
I would take it over the S6 anytime, but i wouldnt say so about the E63.The car looks ok - it doesnt have the awesome looks and "P"resence that you would get in the M5 - but then you have a 6.3 liter V8 with 465lb of torque that just mindblowing.

Interesting article!
I would go for the S6 any day over the two just for it's good looks, and not to mention the 4WD.

I still think the new 5 series(especially the M5) is one of the nicest looking cars on the road today.
I really wonder just how bad the SMG is under every day use. Either way I still think I'd go with the Beamer just because I love to go sideways..

it is only about software to make M5 torquey, one can shift the torque 2k rpm lower and gain a few NM. In evo there was one DMS chipped, and it made a world of difference.
I guess the worst competitor for E63 MB is CLS63, i know which i would choose, wouldn´t you?

and with the new diff, sliding would not be a problem neither, and check those brakes

I think he knows it's an E60 M5. The E63 is the Merc not the BMW 6-series.
