fastest 0-100 km/h time you have ever been in a car???

im am interested in your quickest 0-100 km/h times and your experiences.
not only top-speeds are interesting to me - it's the push you get when you are accelerating from 0 - 100km/h - isn't it? for me this push depends very much from the car you are in. for example in a bmw m5 it's not so impressive than for ex. in an open honda s 2000 although the m5 is much quicker. one experience i made is that american cars producers cheat in their 0-60 times => for ex. in the gm syclone they said - 0-60 in 4,5 sec.
i can tell never!!!

anyone made similar experiences with american fact sheets?

in a nascar racecar: 3,5 sec (estimated) - charlotte raceway park
in a chevy lumina 550 hp: 3,9 sec - me driving - airport field austria
in a porsche gt3: 4,8 sec - me driving
in a bmw m5 (400 hp) 5,5 sec
in a bmw z3 - 3.0 6,0 sec - me driving
in a ford f100 (tuned) 6,5 sec (est.)
in a maserati 228 6,5 sec
in a honda s2000 6,5 sec
in a bmw 328 6,8 sec
in a corvette stingray 454 - 6,9 sec (est.)
in gm syclone 7,0 sec - me driving - doesn't go quicker!!!
in a mazda 323 turbo (tuned) 7,1 sec - me driving
in a ford mustang 5.0 7,5 sec - me driving doesn't go quicker

I havent had the opportunity to clock any other runs i might've done in any other cars. These rtuns, suck obviously. I think was running 95 RON fuel or seomthing, and its bloody hot here, in M'sia (avrge temp day/night : 34 degrees celcius/28 degrees celcius))

In an E34 M5 we managed with my brother to get 5.9 for 0-60 miles, but the fastest car i ve ever been in although we never recorded any times is a 2001 corvette Z06. I dont agree with eva-adam about the impression you get in a honda s2000, the m5 has a lot more torque and the torque is the power that pushes you back into the seat,so in an m5 you would get rather more impressed than in a honda s2000

you are right, a m5 has more torque than a s2000, but its not the torque that pushes you back - it's just the acceleration, (the faster a car accerlerates the more it pushes you back!)
so obviously the push back force of an m5 is stronger than of an s2000 because it accelerates quicker. What i meant was how it feels. And you feel faster when you are driving in an s2000 than in an bmw m5.

for example - trucks have big torque (up to 2000 Nm) - F1 engines only have about 360-400 Nm of torque - they make power out of the revs (up to 20000/min)

So its not the torque that pushes you back when you compare acceleration times of trucks vs. F1 cars.

2000 Acura 3.2TL -----> ~6.6 secs (yeah, that's with the non-Type-S 3.2TL...we may have gotten a modded one 8) )
2002 Volvo S40 1.9T -> ~7.9 secs

I've been in my friend's STi and his dad's Vette but we didn't do 0-60 runs in either (too much traffic when we were in the Vette, and he's still breaking in the STi)

Damn, it was fast! The car is over 2 tons, but with 500 hp and 800 Nm of torque, you can do just about anything!

The car belonged to my friend's dad (actually, it was his company car... he works for Daimler Chrysler in Poland). Well, it turned out that one weekend my friend was home alone, so he invited me, and we went for a spin The only "problem" was that he's 17, and doesn't have a driver's licence. But, living in poland, the cops are corrupt, so ANYTHING is possible... And let me tell you, as stupid as it was, it was the most fun thing in my life!

hey you´re in automotive industry too and don´t know 9ff???
...j/k...9ff is a kinda "young" Porsche tuner from germany and i know the owner of that company, mr. jan fatthauer, quite well so i had the chance for this ride...
if you want to learn more about 9ff check e.g. "Porsche news" page 14...

again, you´ll find detailed infos about my job at PAG in "Pn" but in short, i´m mainly working at the EZW ( driveline and engine -engineering ) but also at the 955/S1 factory at Leipzig...
right now i´m working on the power kit for the 955TT (500hp, ~700Nm) and also on the new engine for the E2 A/B...
