according to the saleen representatives i've spoken with... it is already 50--state legal, and some are being built right now with the 1000 hp figure

Yes and it has an adjustable boost setting - maximum 1045hp @ 11 psi. Brilliant car, really. The only thing I miss are carbon ceramic brakes.
