I don't know about the gearbox issue. The gearbox mentioned here clearly is the one in this concept. BMW doesn't provide technical details of a production version when the car is still called concept. It would be strange to specify any options as well, since you can't order a concept. So I have still hope there's a choice for either a manual or an SMG gearbox in the eventual production version M5.
