No problem man. I saw your edit just now, and I also added an edit of my own. I assumed you were another feverent BMW fan because you're a mod on an M5 forum.

We get our fair share of BMW fanatics come on MB forums spoiling the fun for everyone else and giving a bad image to BMW owners (hey, one of my best friends is a BMW fan, I don't hate him for it ). We also have our bad seeds in the MB community (and funnily enough, it's usually the teen age kids that cause the biggest problem, going on about cars as if they really owned them).

But yeah, I know very well that MB has problems, but there's a lot of non-owners who receive misinformation relating to these problems. Most problems at the moment relating to MB's is down in the simple electronics department. And SRS light that lights up, or the radio which stops working. It's rarely anything catastrophic such as the engine blowing up or the tranny falling to the floor in a heap of pieces.

In any case, a problem is always a cause of annoyance. I just try to inform those who think that the problems with MB's are a LOT worse then they truly are.

The BIGGEST problem with MB is their incompetent dealer network. We get a lot of owners asking us about problems with wind noise coming from the window. And problems like this are easy to fix, yet dealers seem to f'k up really badly, and some of them just don't care! I think this is just not fair on the owners. Luckily for myself, the dealer I bought from IS competent and friendly. Something which I don't see happening in some other countries where they're just snobby and sometimes down right rude.
