Default Maserati GS Zagato

World premiere at Lake Como: Maserati GS Zagato
Famous coachbuilder Carrozzeria Zagato has a long tradition of putting bodies on Maserati chassis. Following on from the world premiere of the Ferrari 575 GT Z at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in 2006, this year the Maserati GS Zagato will be presented on the public stage for the first time.

MILAN, Italy — The press releases are already starting to fly in advance of that Italian beauty contest, the Concours d'Elegance Villa d'Este, which starts on April 20. Undoubtedly, one of the show-stoppers is destined to be the Maserati GS by Zagato.

The dazzling two-seater hatchback is 7.1 inches shorter than the Spyder, providing "excellent handling and stability on curves, with extraordinary torsional rigidity," said the Milanese customizer. The car is striking with its all-aluminum bodywork and prominent logos: the trident on the hood and the Z on the wing.

Zagato said the vehicle was commissioned by Italian entrepreneur Paolo Boffi. The company said it proposed a vehicle "that evoked the historical Maserati A6 G Zagato of 1954."
