Default batmobile

does anyone knows any information about the batmobile which is used in the first two films of the series (the one with joker and penguin). and also any site where i can find some pictures

The batmobile has always been based on the corvette. Even the first one was built around a 50's corvette. The early 90's bat mobile and others are no exception. In fact in 1996-97 Chevy gave the producers of (forget which movie it was) a pre-production model of the c5 for their bat mobile.

I have heard many conflicting rumors over the origins of the building of this version, some stating it was built on a limo chassis, others stating a Corvette, and others off a classic Impala.

I have also heard rumors that there is a kit version out there that is possibly built off a corvette frame. I have yet to see this or find any info about it. Kit cars and replicas are not really my thing, but I am looking into it.

i read in speed, that old batmobile was too heavy for tires, they explodes many times,
