Also nearly all dynos will give a different figure. So outright numbers shouldn't be taken too seriously. Usefull for checking changes to you're car doing a before and after on the same dyno, but thats about it. Unfortunatly the tuners with the optimistic dynos look better than those tuners that may be making more realistic power, so not much insentive to get them calibrated properly!

I know you get different results on different dyno`s, but I dont agree the ones with the "best" result are the most popular ones at least not with the more serious people....... we got several tuners with awd dyno`s but the ones with the highest output are not the most popular ones as they are regarded as not accurate among people who not just are out to get a high hp number to show off, but more out to get the exact result to know if you can tweak it even more and still be on the safe side........ I would never dyno my car on one with a track record of giving "good" results, I would rather do it at a dyno wich is regarded as strickt on the power output it gives......IMO its better to to say its less power than it really is that way you dont dissapoint anybody, and people cant say you are bragging about your car.....

Yeah i meant the tuners that have an optimistic dyno will be popular. Their modifications will show a big number power curve after the work has been carried out there. So people will think there tuning is better, hence they don't really worry if theie dyno reads a little high.

That sounds just about right. Hell, my lightly-modded Evo baselined at 219whp on a Dynojet acouple months ago. I was about to cry when they said it. (324whp now )
