What are the spec's for a US e36 3.25i and a Euro 3.25i?

I wanted to know what the difference is between these cars, like hp rating and so on, I searched the internet but I found many different and confusing results


And besides that, lets say I wanted to upgrade performance(for the euro version) what would you guys recommend, turbo, SC, chip, and so on.
And wich tuners should be considered.


Would really appreciate your input guys, need this information as fast and much as possible. Thanks

I need to check on my owner manual, I am sure the official data for the 325 are listed there too.. gimme 10 min.

As for the upgrade, IMO the turbo option is to strike.. yes it is popular, it is fashion or whatever, but it will kill the engine way too quickly.. just to have some hissing noises :roll:

BMW E36 325i (saloon, manual transmition)

I6 / 2494 cc
141 KW / 192 HP / 5900 rpm
245 Nm / 4200 rpm

1330 kg on the road (fuel and so on included...)

vmax: 233 km/h

acceleration:

0 - 50 km/h - 2.5 sec
0 - 80 km/h - 5.5 sec
0 - 100 km/h - 8.0 sec
0 - 120 km/h - 10.9
80 - 120 in 4th gear - 8.4 sec
1 km: 28.4

and we are talking euro spec here obviously.
Also, BMW's official numbers are usually pretty conservative.

fuel economy:
90 km/h - 6.6 l / 100 km
120 km/h - 8.0 l / 100 km
city - 11.9 l / 100 km

LOL, wel it actually is partially for me and a friend (who owns a 3.25 and his brother a 3.28i), I am looking to buy one :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: yes, I am looking to buy on, the 3.25i or a 3.28 i(I think the 3.25i is better than the 3.28i as the last one came because of the emission norm blablabla...
And you are right about the turbo, I told my friend not to turbo his because of the lag and irritating noise.

Sorry, I don't have that info. But to note, I know that for a couple of years, I want to say 98~2000, there were no 325i's. BMW deemed that the 325i and the 328i were too close together. So here in the US we had the 323i, 328i, and the M3. In 2000 we only had the 323i and 328i, the E36 was officially discontinued and the E46 was offered in both Coupe and Sedan. But all three of those models uses a 6 cylinder inline engine.

Of course there were the corresponding "is" coupe/sport edition to those three models as well.

As far as performance wise, I keep on hearing a lot of great things about Dinan. Of course associated with all those great things are the $$$ for the parts.
