I am not a big fan of Alonso.......but this time, kimi screwed himself up, throwing away the tiny chance of fightback

the chance is sitll there provided he doesn't get held up. By Fisi or JB.
But fisi should be more than a match for Alonso this time around with the updated Renault on the circuit of his first ever win.
Too bad Intelagos isn't a great track to pass.

Congrats to Alonso, I guess... Although I preferred Kimi to win, I must admit Alonso did a good job - yes, he was lucky, but at the same time he barely committed any mistakes and used his head. What I don't understand is the whining... "No one ever helped me, blah, blah, blah..." Give me a break.
So yeah, not much else to say... The race was quite boring, with my highlights being Schumacher's move on Fisichela on the first lap, and also Ruben's move on Button.
By the way, Bridgestone didn't bring the old tyres after all; they brought a tyre based on the 2004 spec, but with a harder compound. That's what Jordan and Minardi have been using for the most part of the season, according to Auto Motor Und Sport. They also say that the introduction of the "Super Tyres" was cancelled fter Badoer and Gené expressed their negative feelings about the tyres. Now, Schumacher himself will try out the new tyres at Fiorano this week, before it is to be decided if the new rubber will be taken to the last two races in Japan and China.

it was nice to see M. Shumacher make some moves early on in the race, and have his highest finish since Indy. it definately lookslike Ferrari is going to hold onto 3rd for the manufacturer's title, and i hope that Mclaren take the constructors home this year. Kimi is definately a GREAT driver, but really i hope that JPM keeps on winning the remaining GP's... its a great combination IMO now that they are both actually driving rather then a spirited 3rd driver going out.
its unfortunate that toyota is loosing competitivness, and it definately seem slike thier mechanical grip is lacking, however, they have a very good aero package. Mclaren has definately got the best car out there; lets see if thier reliabiltiy keeps up. im not suprised by the 1,2 finish
