I'm in the same position as you are right now Mihai, and all I can say is that it sucks serious ass. I've been friends with the girl I'm semi-seeing for quite a long time, but since she lives about 6 hours away most of the year, I haven't had much of a chance to actually be with her. However, over the course of this schoolyear, I've been seeing her more and more and we've even rounded all the bases with each other. However...she isn't really looking for a relationship right now because her last bf broke up with her via email, telling her that he never wanted to see/hear from her again, and then he left for Austria, so there's really not much of a chance for either anyway. She was head-over-heels for him and as a result, she's gunshy and I'm not really sure that I want to be the "rebound guy." On the other hand, I think I'm more or less head-over-heels for her, but I haven't told her as much yet, only that I care deeply for her. Unfortunately even the fact that I've told her that has put a bit of a damper on our relationship, she's not as open and warm as she used to be. We talk every night and I have to keep biting my tongue as I don't want to make the rift that seems to be growing between us any deeper.
I don't know what to tell you man, but if I was where you are now and knew that the girl wasn't seeing anyone else except on a "friend" basis, I think I might broach the subject or at the very least make a move while somewhat intoxicated. Anyway, good luck, and I hope things work out better than they're going for me atm.

Well, I think that's a shame for Ronin. I mean he's automatically ruling out over 50% of the population as friends. BTW: I met her today aswell and still haven't said shit. I don't think I can say it in person. But I also get the impression that I should act soon, as she's probably losing interest.

You could always resort back to high school and sneak a note or a card into her purse....

Dude maybe you just aughta try the "offer the arm link" move as you walk. Y'know? - if she buys it you're in and can always go back to it - if not do more physical type stuff to get closer. If she doesn't then you can easily play it off.

I'm sorry to offer conflicting advice.. But in my experience, and what has worked extremely well lately, is being an arrogant, careless challenge.
I think i'm somewhat of a gentlemen by nature, but i've found that girls don't want a cushy will-always-be-there-for-you type of guy, they want a badboy, or somebody who is different to the other thousands of guys that have their tails between their legs (such as you atm Mihai).
If you can put yourself in a position where you have a bit more "attitude", and try to portray that you consider yourself important and a wanted (in demand) guy this may rub off on her and spark a side of attraction she didn't know existed.
If i had to try and put this into one word, it would be: Confidence! Failing that you don't have much, pretend you do.
If this doesn't make much sense, why is it the "bad-boy" always seems to score, and where do you think the saying "nice guys finish last" came from?
If you are like me and (i think i am) are a nice guy at heart, just give yourself a shot at being confident, yet still open doors, say please and thankyou, and then remind your date how fortunate she is to be in your presence

im sure everybody knows the feeling before asking a girl out... i mean, damn... it was harder then my calc final freshmen year but once you commit to it, its only hell for a few 10ths of a second.... and via IM... it could be HOURS.... so my recomendation is tell it to her face... or somewhere close to it

Just let things happen... after "it" happens, it's easier to talk!
