i'd probably agree with that, but.....
i had a similar problem with an auto car awhile ago. it wouldn't take it down into first........then after awhile second was gone, by the time i took it in to be checked the transmission cooler had blown, which in turn killed the cooling system sending tranny fluid into my coolant tank thus spewing it out into my engine bay when the engine was on for longer than a short drive. i'd have it checked now to be safe.
