The M Brand did go into a X5 before in the form of the 4.6iS and 4.8iS. Both cars were tuned by the Motorsport Division. It doesn't have to have a ///M badge for it to officially be a M Car.

I think the "M" in Merc's ML stands for "Mom". I do like the GL-class though.
|
GL - the G stands for 'gay'...
Give me a G55 AMG anyday!!
(the G stands for 'great' in the old Mercs)
As for the bimmer - I don't dislike the X5... actually, I think it's one of the coolest SUVs on sale today, right next to the Range Rover Sport... but a coupe-ish SUV? what the hell is this? sounds like another weirdo deluxe all-roader like the R-Klasse...
|
BMW is making an R-class competitor, but IIRC, the letter they're using is "V". Which means the X6 must be to the X5 what the 6-series is to the 5-series.

X6 is SUV based on a Coupe
|
The X5 is an SUV based on the 5 series... the X3 is an SUV based on the 3 series... need I go on?

This just looks dodgy. I think it may be a Cayenne competitor, but I can't see it winning that fight.
