Purchasing a daily car .. Need input.
Hello,
Guys i need some input. I'm looking @ getting a daily fun car and keeping the WRX for the weekends.
So far the budget isnt the best so i have a choice of 1 car ... that i like alot.

well Alfa's are girl cars and they break down alot ... and i want something i can drive around in and not care but yet when i get to twisty roads have a blast

Well, having owned a Peugeot (205 Rallye) as my first car and driving an Alfa Romeo (75 2.0TS) at the moment, I can tell you that both cars are a lot of fun. The 205 was the more sporty car, you could really chuck it into a corner with it's light weight and it was really noisy and direct, whereas the Alfa 75 is more mature, but very rewarding to drive nonetheless. And I wouldn't call it a girly car with it's sharply lined body, RWD and LSD. Plus it hasn't gone wrong on me during the 17 months I've been driving it, while the 205 has cost me a lot of money on head gasket repairs and the lot.

^ can't help but agree with that. Toyota will never let you down as a daily driver type car. Especially when you have a WRX for some real fun.

the only toyota i would buy would be a MR2.. thats it.. nothing else 
but i dont know i mean i love the lightness of the 205GTi

Buy a toyota celica, toyota reliability, nice grip and sporty to drive....
|
Not the best reputation in Australia, and they came with virtually no equipment. The Peugeot will be a bit difficult to maintain. Perhaps a later-model Lancer. They came cheap, relatively well-equipped, and depreciated like hell.

I agree with dani 100%; once you have the subaru WRX as a first car, I dont see a sensible idea buying a 205 GTI as a everyday use car unless the car is in excellent conditions; if so, I dont see any problems buying the pug as long as you asume its downsides such as the lack of confort, the fuel consumption......
However, once already having an authentic sportive car, Id buy a practical and reliable car such as any french, german or japanese hatchback or little car

What about an MX-5, not the quickest but it will give you a nice taste of RWD without killing you for unreliabilty, I had one and it did look a bit girly but it was a great lesson in RWD handling and the roof comes off. Great!
And anyone who says alfas are girl needs their arse kicking.

as been said why get somethign thats also pretty sporty.if i had a WRX as my fun car,id be goin to diesel way for sure as a daily driver

Well the WRX is fast and sporty but 350km to a tank is silly. so i want another small sporty car that doesnt guzzle but more or less sips fuel
i was looking at the AW11 mr2's.. i love them old school ones ...
there is one with a 20v engine conversion. very very cheap.
