The thing is geared pretty low so the 0-60 should be pretty good for an SUV, i woulnt be surprised if it was in the 7-8 second range. Someone has to have something powerful around here. Wheres Jabba and his exotics? lol

And BTW, I don't think your dad is registered here.. what about YOUR car?

my 63 Nova is puttin out about 400hp. i havent had a chance to time it with the new enigine. i bought it with a 283ci, i only got the chance to time it once, and that was with no interior. it ran a high 13 like that. i put a 355ci in it a few years ago, but i dont drive it that often so it doesnt have too many miles on it. never dyno'd it, but the guy that helped me put the engine together has been building engines for a long time, so when he said 400hp i had no reason to doubt him, especially since i said i would expect nothing less LOL. as for its looks, it looks stock with different rims, painted orange, fairly new paint, but i would like to paint it again soon.
im hoping to get another project car really soon which i plan to turn into my road race car, since the Nova doesnt really handle too well, and i would like to turn the Nova into more of a strip car, first thing would be new rear end, gears, 4 link suspension and to tub it. i will be happy when it runs 11 or lower and i could still drive it on the street every now and then. only thing is, the closet drag strip that allows street cars is pretty far away and the altitude is too high so the air is too thin, kills almost a second off your et. i could really use a trailer and tow vehicle too.
my other car is a bone stock '01 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. 170hp, i think im gonna get a boost controller really soon, which should add about 25-30hp, should liven things up a bit, but it would take more money then im willing to spend on that car to make it really fast, good for just driving tho, and the AWD is nice to play with in the rain, snow, dirt, etc.

hahaha
the reason why Im mentioning my dads vehicles is cuz... I dont have a car yet. im 16, but I live in Canada, and we have graduated liscencing, so I cant get my "Liscence" for another5 months or so. I have wut they call a G1, which is basically a beginners. BUT you dont need money to get a relatively fast car. Im looking to buy an 87-93 5.0L mustang for my first car. They average around $3500-$4000 CDN, thats about the cost of the insurrance each year also. BUT my dad's 92 Honda Accord will actually only cost $80 less than the mustang. The fact that the stang is a preformance car really makes little difference in the insurrance cost. The only MAJOR disadvantage is that I'll have to pay at least double the amount for gas, becaust the Honda gets 38mpg, and the Stang will prolly get 13-17ish. But i want something fun to boot around in. Im not really looking to buy a car until about Feb., but i'll post it as soon as i get one. lol

My car has 60 hp, so I win. Peugeot 306 1.4 XN
Btw, even thos cams only cost 350, the labour for fitting of them is about 600, and u need Air Intake, full exhaust system(id reccomend Scorpion Boxer), Chip, pulleys ect ect...
Maybe just leave it standard and wait. When im 20 Im having a Supra TT (yes i am paying 9500 for insurance )

no way will u pay 9500 for insurance,i love the supra more than anythin, but i wouldnt pay that much for insurance, but seriously i doubt u would get insurance at that age on a TT supra.
the scorpion boxer,if i remember correctly thats the exhaust that is loud as fuck,i dont want a car thats all noise and u can hear it from a mile away.my supra will be different

i think, no, i KNOW i got you all beat.
my vehicle is the best!! better than jabba's 355!!!
0-60, thats for losers. how practicle is a 2-seater ferrari??? my vehicle has got that beat. i use it everyday to go to school and its totally reliable. i could bring more babes than just one that jabba can fit in his ferrari. mine is a useful people carrier and good lookin too. i put a link so you all can see it. its does for aerodynamics what homeless man does for society, ABSOLUTEY NOTHING!!!

hrmm audi runs low low 8s in the 1/8th mile, and low 12s in the quarter, 400+ hp
my celica runs higher 8s in the 1/8th, high 12s in the quarter, 300+ hp
my 240SX with the stock motor would prolly run high 10s in the 1/8th till it gets its SR20DET, then it gets 100 more hp with the stock sr20det
the corolla doesnt run..yet =) i am building a 300+hp 3SGTE to put in it =) hrmm 2000lb car, 300+ hp..should be very similair to the celica in performance
