Favorite Gear
I was curious what is your favorite gear? I was shifting today and I realize that i really hate first gear but when you get into second its soo sweet. Sixth gear is too slow and fifth gear is just there same with fourth. But third gear gives second gear a run for its money. But it still would be second gear for me.

5th in my miserable and noisy car. First is a constant noise, second less noise than in first, third is... ok, fourth better

I guess it depends on which car you are
my car pulls strong in 2nd gear, starts to feel half dead in third and so on a nice V12 Ferrari or Lambo would give it's best in 3rd or 4th
Anyway, it's 2nd here i guess

I agree with darkel, poking about in 4th, shifting down to 3rd and just let rip.
best pull from 2nd gear with our car..
too bad I flunked my driving test yesterday... I'm so angry :x :x :x

it's a toss-up between 2nd and 3rd gears for me. 2nd has better acceleration obviously, but 3rd pulls me up to 70mph pretty quickly once over 4000rpm.
I guess I'll lean towards 2nd, though. Get it around 3000rpm, floor it, and you'll get a pretty nice kick and noise transforms beautifully

From a standstill if I stomp the gas in 1st the tyres go up in smoke... if I stomp the gas in 2nd, the tyres go up in smoke....
From a 4600rpm roll if I stomp the gas in 1st the tyres go up in smoke then let me rocket forward with controlled wheelspin and snaking tail in 2nd... 3rd keeps pulling like a steam train and 4th is more of the same.... 5th is just a constant roll to top speed.
I would say pick a gear, any gear from 1 to 4...

3rd was my favorite in my Z topping out at 90. I knew exactly where i had to be in 4th to make the downshift into 3rd and be right at the start of the power Having only a 4 speed 'box in that car meant you went from reasonable noise level to "holy fuck what the hell is that?!" (thanks to a quick shop of the muffler )
anwhere from 3K all the way to about 5,500 i could stomp the gas and be haulin ass After that it was too close to redline and i would quickly have to find 4th. I had some decent pull in the higher end of 4th though. Enough to make me want a 5th gear
In the 330's and M3's 3rd AND 4th

Mini - First
Evo - Can't decide Second or Third
Diablo.. Shift to 4th at low RPM and flooring it.. The sounds makes you spine shiver..

3rd. Heel and toe downshifts to it are sweet.
