Default Catching up, cool cars I've seen this year.

I hope you folks will give me a pass on all the dates, they're all from this past year driving around. Some are from the "Monterey Weekend", some are from "Cherries Jubilee", some I just got lucky with the camera. But they're all cool.

1968? Plymouth Belvedere GTX

The driver came out with a Big Gulp and Nachos with extra cheese. Bastard!

Saleen S7 at the auction.

Type 65 Cobra Lemans Coupe. One and only, this program for the big block Cobra Coupe was killed when the GT40 was developed.

Yenko COPO Camaro

Sledding, California style.

Yellow is fast.

So is orange.

Damn Ferarri got in my shot.

This was a miracle shot.

Real Cobras.

Well that should do for now. Thanks for the bandwidth!

I don't want you to get jaded.

Here's another couple of shots of the Saleen for you, though, since you asked...

More assorted car porn.

How we roll in California.

Yeah. They had some nice cars back in there. That's a telephoto shot, only the ballers who were ready to bid (or at least register to bid) got to go back behind the velvet rope.

Someone asked about my camera. It's a Canon S1-IS. A great camera for someone who wants to take better pics then the standard point and shoot, but is a little too ADD to learn a proper SLR camera. On the Automatic setting, it's pretty hard to take a bad shot. This year they came out with the S2-IS with 6mp. So far 3 of my friends have bought the S1-IS on my recommendation and have been very pleased.

More Saleen S7, this time from SEMA. Wow, what a blast that was!

More SEMA 2005

Ford 40 GT. Tube frame with Ford GT powerplant under handbuilt pure copper body. Wow.

His and hers Enzos.

Nice old Pantera in front of our hotel.

Rolling on Dubs? That's so 2003.

And GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS!

BTW, those are diamonds set into that wheel. The set goes for $1,000,000. They throw in a Rolls Royce with it.

I live in Monterey County of California. Monterey is home to whats come to be known simply as "The Monterey Weekend". On one weekend in August, The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is taking place in Carmel, the Russo and Steele sports car Auction is in downtown Monterey, the Concorso Italiano is taking place on Fort Ord, and the Monterey Historic Races are going on at Laguna Seca in Salinas. I have a 1gig card for my camera, so I took LOADS of pictures, chances are I have more that I just never uploaded. So If you have a favorite, let me know!

BTW, I lived in Waterloo when I was in high school. I don't know what that means.
