M5 Problems?
http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showt...95#post1207595
My buddy purchased a new 2006 M5. Against his better judgement. He owned a 540 sport before and knew the horrible service. But the advertised speed of the New M5 lured him.
I few weeks ago BMNA sent him a letter letting him know there is a problem with the Vanos Oil Line leaking. He called his dealer and they told him there is nothing they could do about it. And not to worry. Wait until it is an official recall. So he went with this advise.
He slowly broke it in and had the silly 1200 service done. At that point he asked them to fix the line problem and the dealer said don't worry about it. Well the car is was running and he was driving it hard last night and BOOM! oil everywhere!!! Line burst. He was righjt around the corner and he was able to pull it into his garage. This morning there was a puddle of oil in his garage. He called the dealer(Princeton) and they are sending a flatbed over. Now here is the funny part. They tell him the new hose is on 3-4 week b/o. My buddy went nuts and all of sudden they claimed they could get it overnight! Next funny thing was they had no loaner for him. The dealer said they were out of them(I wonder why!!!??)
He went bananas and the dealer finally agreed to rent him a Enterprise Rent a Junk. Funny, buy a car for 92k, get a 20k rental to drive around in. Sorry, I love the active seats, but obviously BMW will never have their sh*t together like the other dealers. Infiniti, Jaguar and MB all bend over backwards to serve their customers. BMW could seriously care less!!
