** LOOKING FOR SOME RECOVERY SOFTWARE **
Looks like I have deleted the Australian grand prix highlights by mistake.
I know its only a very long shot but its worth a try I guess...has anyone got any decent recovery software and the necessary crack or serial number they could send me ?

Sorry, i am not sure to understand (remember i am french  ) you want something to recover the Australian GP highlights ? I don't know if it's easy to do, it must exist but i can't help you. Maybe fishfreek or DeMoN
Really sorry. 
The other way would be that someone upload it to you . I didn't d/l it so i can't help you on that point either

Will try them now fishfreek....sadly not in the bin...also the files are usually huge...so dont even make it in there...anyone from the UK by anychance record the Australian Grand Prix highlights from a couple of weeks ago ???

Some recovery stuff needs to be installed before you delete it. Like a 3rd recycle bin. Make sure what you use (especially if you are purchasing) can recover post deletion if you see what I mean.

It all comes down to what you have written to your HD since the deletion...time is crucial...I think its time I face up to the fact its gone....

I have used that one many years ago.
Alot of these applications read the raw info on the disk drive. When a file is delted from your computer its not really removed. The only thing that happens is the pointer in your FAT (File allocation table) is removed. The pointer in the FAT tells the computer there on the drive to go look for the data. When the pointer is removed the computer consiters that spot on your disk to be free and available to have data written to it.
If no data has acutally been placed overtop of the data that you deleted then you can recover it with many of these programs. If any part of the data has been overwritten then the data is lost.
This is why to truly delete a file you have to write 1's and 0's over the section of the disk that the file was located a few times to asure that every bit of data has been replaced with new data.

I hope, you know that you shouldn't write anything on that HDD or else you're risking loosing the vid for sure...
here's the cracked Restorer2000 Professional. When it starts simply click cancel when the reg. form appears. I've already successfully restored some files with it, so it does work.
Don't forget not to write anything on that hard drive (this also means downloading Restorer2000 to other drive etc.).
