That looks like quite a 'bodged' attempt at that. But drivers with no use of their legs can be quick in a car, look at alex zanardi in the BMW in the european touring cars. Takes balls to get back in a car as he did.

Drivers without legs can be fast on the track, just ask the kids who play video games!

Except "video games" do not subject the players to g-forces that require you brace your self and balance your body.

Anyone who thinks video games "prepare" you for racing are kidding themselves...

Kudos to ANY handicapped "go fast" person.

I used to ride with a group of motorcycle riders back home, whose runs were normally lead by the 2 owners of a speciality motorcycle shop - one of of whom had 2 "wooden" legs...

You have not lived until you have been "stuffed up the inside" by a guy riding the wheels off a bright red VFR750 going down the Cape Town side of SilverMine Road (members from the Western Cape will know this road well) and when you get to the bottom he is straightening one of his prosthetic foot/leg assemblies after it snagged a little on the asphalt.

Oh yeah - his "special mods" to ride a bike? A piece of string around his wrist and looped over the gear shift to be tugged on for up (or down shifts for GP pattern shifting).

Don't think that the "handicapped" are wimps...
