just finished uploading stuff.. how do i link someone to my ftp.. it keeps asking for user\pass.. and thats no good...
any ideas?

i tried to change the files access to public.. but i keep getting errors.. any idea?!

Personally i post the ftp address and the pasword in the forum the ftp address should look something like this ftp://[email protected]
Then select this as a url when you post then everyone will just have to enter the password though be prepared to change the password if you want to keep this link to jabbasworld only as idiots may post it outside slowing down the download and using up bandwidth

I think for everyone to have access you have to alow anonymous connections.

i try to change the zips to open for public.. but i keep getting errors.. and it wont change.. right now the only way to download is with my FTP admin user and pass... and i dont think thats such a good idea to post it here... :roll:

did you post the link with you main username and pass? cause with that someone could change the user and pass.. and that would suck..
i really dont know what to do.. 125 is useless like this...

Yeah i was relying on peoples honesty in this regard and the fact that they most wouln't know it was my main password anyway you can have more than one account!!

do this...
to give direct acces post the address like so ftp://user:[email protected]/filename.avi
that is supposing your FTP port is 21 if not....
do-> ftp://username:pass @site.com :## /filename.avi
where: ## is the port number
