Default saleen SR

hey guys i was wondering is there any reason as to why nobody ever talks about the saleen SR. i have seen this car on saleens' website for a while and it has ridiculous performance potential according to the info presented about the car. was this car a big flop or is there something that i am not seeing about it.

it has 505HP and 500ft-lbs of torque. 1/4 mile in high 11s/low 12s. pulls 1.09G's on the skidpad and breaks from 60 in 98 feet. (this is all from the saleen website) i have never seen a test on this car and never hear anything about it but it seems to have very respectable performance #s. wondering on you guys' opinion. Thanks

Over-priced Mustang - a rich mans plaything - not even that good as a pure-bred race car.

I admit that his commercial failure is caused by his prohibitive price. $150,000 this is not the regular budget for the Mustang buyers. Despite this fact, I like this Saleen SR and his performances is still really great.

The problem is it's a mustang, with a huge engine, and its UGGLY. And its hugely expensive, in the end you have a ricer mustang, a sub $20K car with a body kit that cost 7x as much as the car.

Yeah the car does look very rice!

My over all complaint with salleen, is that the cars are powerful and very good, but like the noble, they are hideous. Usually the interior is als of lesser quality, hen european supercar makers.

I think it looks good except for the front. And the price is a little steep too. I guess it is just a failed experiment by Saleen unlike the S7.
