Default xbox blank media question

what types of blank media does the Xbox recognize?
I tried a DVD+R but no luck.
I'm mainly wondering about DVD media for it thanks in advance.

Do they even make cd games for Xbox? aren't they all DVD based?

you can get a chip for your xbox to use cd games but all dvds should work if you have the equipment.

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/dvdplaybackkit.htm

just check out the xbox site for most of the hardware.

I have the remote I was talking about what type of blank media it can recognize and it seems to only recognize DVD-R not DVD+R media.
