Its ok - I transfered all my data (about 15gb) to another PC overnight last night... because the harddrive was making ominous "tink" "tink" 'plink" noises... sounded like and old MFM drive having a head crash... heheh the dreaded "bouncing ball bearing" sound.

The first 2 powerups this evening actually showed

Non-System Disk or Disk Error

The drive is almost 4 years old... so I have been awaiting it's demise.

But this guy is a fighter - I am on it now.. hehe

Pffff I had a quantum make noises on me once. I opened the sucker, sprayed some WD40 on it (seriosly) and it lasted me aprx 15min, the grease got on disk and that was the end of it.

Well I like the look of that orange Macca in that picture.. and have never really been a "sentimental picture" kinda fella.. I don't even carry pictures of my family with me - or plaster my work space with "personal nick-nacks" - so I most definatley won't put up pics of my own car, and the rest of the utter crap built here wouldn't get space either..

hehe
