Default Just ordered me a TV/FM tuner card for my pc

Whoot. It was cheap at only $46US. Hope to get it by mid next week and get it installed and learn how to properly record and encode some shows.

TV LEADTEK/DELUXE TV2000XP TV/FM

Thats what I ordered. Seem to get high reviews on newegg.com

It's a good card but the tv tuner is only mono, I think. Won't be a problem if you connect your vcr to it directly though. I have to get a new tv tuner to replace mine this christmas if it's on sale. Mine's mono so I have to use the vcr all the time... not good if I have to time record

Oops.. got it mixed up with the Flyvideo TV2000, which is a mono tv tuner (Flyvideo TV3000 is stereo). Coincidentally, the leadtek tv2000 xp deluxe is on sale at a local store. I'm considering replacing my old one with it

Ya. $46 is a good price. Personally I had consiteed ATI to be one of the leaders in the capture card arena when it comes to low cost cards but the reviews I have seen on this card put it above the low cost ATI TV tuner/capture cards.

Yea, most places has that card for cdn$80-90 here. It's on sale for cdn$75 so I think I'm going to take it. The time saving with a proper tv tuner is well worth the price. Actually, my friend bought that leadtek tv2000 xp deluxe last year. The video quality seems to be pretty good. The only negative comments I've found are related to buggy driver instalation in XP.

The ATI AIW cards are great, especially the new 9600 one. Too bad it costs a fortune. The low cost ATI tv tuner cards are BT878-based card too, the only difference is the driver. My BT848 card is 5 years old and is still working fine, hopefully the leadtek will last at least another 5 years

Well FedEX reports my card is to be delivered today so I hope to have a report tonight as to how well it got installed and how the drivers/software interact.
