Why is that car important? It just looks like a 911 with an ugly spoiler. *Waits for the Porsche Fanatics to explain why I am stupid*

I'm no 959 fanatic and I do not like it's looks but I still respect it's abilities. And the fact that it's so exclusive...

Why it's important, well because it set a new technical benchmark for Porsche and the automotive industry.

The 959 was an exclusive car if im not mistaken with many race Inspired features. It was not available in the usa untill last year. Directly from porsche it did not pass emissions regulations. But much like the lusted after skyline r34 where theres a will theres a way. An entrepreneur from ca decided to bite the bullet and submit modded versions of the car to the dmv and get them certified for us roads. He had to import 6 of em just to crash. After that he started sellling them, much like motorex did for the skyline. There are a handfull on us roads now before the current body styles i think its one of the better looking porches. I dont remember the issue but Porsche Excellence magazine had an article on it last year if i can find it ill try and post more details.

Isn't it worth more than $160000?
